It had been so easy to separate Daisy, or whatever her name used to be, from her friends. Talking to her, leaning in close to hear what she was saying. And then, Mia’s hand, cool and deliberate, tracing the line of Daisy’s jaw, whispering in her ear how Mia could take care of her. Daisy was easy prey after that. Her eyes, wide and innocent, betraying a hunger she didn’t even understand. Mia could practically taste her naïveté, sweet and intoxicating, an aphrodisiac that compelled Mia to devour her.
