Caught

The air conditioning hummed, a counterpoint to the frantic pulse in Zoe’s veins. The other girls were out, she had at least an hour to herself. An hour for this forbidden pleasure. “I’m… it’s not… OMG Skylar!” Heat flooded Zoe’s face, prickling her skin from her chest to her hairline. She could hear her pulse hammering in her hears, drowning out everything except Skylar’s voice. She squeezed her eyes shut, unable to face her roommate, wishing the floor would swallow her whole.
