The Christmas Present

“Is this really necessary, Melanie?” Kathy mumbled, fidgeting as she felt the heat build in her cheeks. “I mean, it’s obviously going to fit, this is what it’s… you know… designed for.” She trailed off as her friend gave her a cool, knowing look.

“You wanted to give Mike that extra special Christmas present this year, right?” Melanie asked in that slightly patronizing tone that Kathy hated. “To show him you’re not the prude he thinks you are? So we need a practice run!”

Kathy nodded sheepishly. This was starting to seem like a terrible idea.

“Well then. On your knees girl.” Melanie’s voice deepened and despite the sparkle in her eye, the words came out like a command.

Kathy hesitated, her gaze darting to the cuffs and the spreader bar on the floor, then back to Melanie’s expressionless face. The flush on her cheeks intensified, a silent battle raging before she slowly, reluctantly, lowered herself to the soft carpet, glad that at least from this angle she didn’t have to look directly at Melanie. There was still time to stop this, still time to say no! She took a deep breath, steadying quivering muscles. All she had to do was stand up again. All she had to do.

Melanie knelt behind her, and the unexpected chill of her hands on Kathy’s calves made Kathy flinch. Smooth leather wrapped around her ankles as Melanie tightened them with surprising efficiency. Before she could second guess herself further, she found her legs immobilized by the spreader bar. A momentary flash of panic made her stomach lurch, but she calmed as she remembered her hands were still free. Behind the calm lurked an almost imperceptible flicker of something else, a strange warmth within her.

“Almost there, let’s just…” A cool breeze, suddenly stark, swept between Kathy’s legs and across her ass, a physical reminder of just how exposed she now was.
