The Sales Seductress
Natalie’s signature sparks a lawsuit, but it is the memory of Beatriz’s lips that keeps pulling her under again and again.
Part 8: The Lawsuit of Lust
by Mia Sumner
Natalie pulled her hand away from her crotch with a start, forcing herself to stop thinking about Beatriz and read the letter in front of her. The simple black and white text spelling out a lawsuit against the company. A lawsuit created by her own actions, by signing the contract for Beatriz. This was worse than she had thought it could possibly get and Natalie really couldn’t afford to keep daydreaming, she had to find a way to end this mess as quickly as possible.

“Jackie.” She called out. “Come in here, please.”
She tapped her foot impatiently, waiting for a response. She knew perfectly well that Jackie had heard her, the old woman just like to make her wait. After an interminable wait, Jackie final ambled into the office, her face fixed in its usual pinched expression.
“You needed something, Natalie?” She always made it sound like it was an inconvenience to her. That lack of respect was like salt in an open wound today.
“I need people to do their jobs.” Natalie snapped, the frustration finally getting the better of her. “What is this?” She brandished the letter.
“I told you they wouldn’t like it.” Jackie shrugged dismissively, only adding to Natalie’s anger.
“What did you say to them?”
“I told them we were canceling our contract. Which is what you wanted.” Jackie wasn’t intimidated by Natalie’s obvious anger. “Remember, after your meeting with Ms. Chavez?” She arched an eyebrow.
Natalie remembered her meeting with Beatriz only too well. She remembered why she needed the contract canceled and what she had done during that meeting. A blush crept up Natalie’s neck, staining her cheeks a fiery red. It wasn’t just embarrassment, it was a shameful heat that spread through her like wildfire, fueled by the memory of Beatriz’s lips. She shifted uncomfortably under the older woman’s direct gaze.
“We can’t afford both contracts.”
Jackie just stared at her without saying anything, her expression implacable.
“Can no one round here manage even the most simple of things?”
Jackie’s lips twitched as though she were about to say something, but she remained silent, just staring, not at all cowed. Natalie was the first to drop eye contact. She couldn’t afford for this to go to court, there had to be another solution.
“Call Bea… Ms. Chavez, and arrange a meeting, please.” She said after a long pause. If Jackie noticed the slip or thought anything of it, then for once she did not say, she simply nodded and left Natalie’s office.
This ridiculous crush she had developed had to be squashed, and then perhaps Natalie could negotiate both contracts down to a reasonable level, enough at least that it would keep the budget within the annual operational plan. A small loss she could make up for somewhere else, but a court case might mean the end of her career.
She should never have let Beatriz get under her skin like this, her husband had even started to notice, commenting just last night on how distracted Natalie seemed. It was the way Beatriz moved, a feline grace that hinted at hidden power. It was the crimson stain of her lipstick, a promise of forbidden pleasures. And that scent… vanilla, chocolate and caramel all blended together in a way that made Natalie’s pulse race.
Natalie squirmed in her chair, feeling her body react to even those thoughts about Beatriz. She had to find some way to clear her head. Standing, she hurried straight for the restroom, not even sure if this was really helping or just making things worse. She needed to escape, to find some release from the pressure building inside her. The restroom was the only place she could be alone, the only place she could give in, just for a moment, to the craving that threatened to consume her.
She spread her legs, the coolness of the seat a stark contrast to the heat building between her thighs. A phantom scent of vanilla and caramel filled her senses, a cruel reminder of what she desired. One hand clamped over her mouth, muffling the moans that threatened to betray her. The other dove between her legs, fingers sinking into the slick heat, circling, rubbing, fast and desperate to thoughts of Beatriz. Her lips, her hands, her confidence… Each movement a stolen moment in a double life that was spiraling out of control, and she could not stop.
